How to Sync a Lovable Project with Cursor and GitHub – Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Create or Load a Project in Lovable

• Go to https://www.lovable.so.
• To create a new project:

  • Click “New Project.”

  • In the prompt box, type something like:

    "Build a simple personal website with a hero section, projects, and contact form."

  • Click “Generate.”

• To load an existing project:
  • Click “Projects” in the sidebar.
  • Select the project you want to work on.
• Wait for Lovable to load or generate the project.
• Confirm that the preview works: click buttons and links to make sure the layout is functional.

2. Transfer the Project to GitHub

• In the top right of the Lovable editor, click the GitHub icon.
• Select “Transfer to GitHub.”
• Log in to your GitHub account if prompted.
• Choose your GitHub account or organization.
• Click “Create Repository.”
• Wait for confirmation—it will display a link to the new GitHub repo.
